  • Thank you for your interest in applying as staff for the Youth to Youth International 2026 Conference! 

    We require all youth staff applicants to also provide a referral from a non-family member adult (teacher, coach, advisor, employer, or group leader). We also strongly encourage all youth staff to submit a Workshop Application. You will receive an email with a link to our brief referral form and the workshop application upon submitting this application. 

    After all applications have been reviewed, you will be contacted by a member of Youth to Youth staff to let you know if you have been selected. 

  • The Youth Staff Application deadline was April 17 and we are no longer accepting applications. Youth Staff for the 2026 Summer Conference have already been selected. 

  • To be eligible to serve as youth staff, you must meet the following criteria:

    • As of the 2025-2026 school year, be in 10th - 12th grade
    • Be available for staff training session(s): 
      • Mandatory Training Sessions for Franklin County Youth Staff:
        • May 13 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
        • June 6 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
        • June 29-30 from noon-noon overnight
      • Strongly encouraged Training Session for all Ohio Youth Staff:
        • June 6 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
        • June 29-30 from noon-noon overnight
      • Mandatory On-Site Pre-Conference Training for all Youth Staff:
        • July 6 at 3:00 pm
    • Be available for the entire conference and closing: July 6 at 3:00 pm - July 11 at 3:30 pm 
    • Be willing to fulfill the Youth to Youth conference staff responsibilities. (listed at the end of this form)
  • For the safety of our participants we will require that ALL adult staff have current background checks which will be conducted on-site. To be eligible to serve as adult staff, you must meet the following criteria by July 8, 2026:

    • Have completed your 2nd year in college and/or be at least 20 years old.
    • Be available for the entire mandatory staff training sessions, entire conference and closing: July 6 at 6:00 pm - July 11 at 3:30 pm.
    • Be willing to fulfill the Youth to Youth conference staff responsibilities. (listed at the end of this form)
  • For the safety of our participants we will require that ALL A-Team have current background checks which will be conducted on-site. To be eligible to serve as A-Team, you must meet the following criteria by July 8, 2026:

    • Have graduated high school in or before 2025.
    • Be available for the entire mandatory staff training sessions, entire conference and closing: July 6 - 11
    • Be willing to fulfill the Youth to Youth conference staff responsibilities. (listed at the end of this form)

  • Adult Staff applicants are limited to adults that are older than 20 as of July 8, 2026. 

  • A-Team applicants are limited to individuals that graduated high school in or before 2025.

  • The staff trainings are listed below. Please indicate any conflicts with the training dates. Exceptions are made at the sole discretion of the Youth to Youth Staff. The consequence of missing a training, without staff having prior knowledge, may result in your termination from staff.

  • Youth Staff Responsibilities

    As a member of youth staff, you have an important job at the Youth to Youth Conference. Please observe these responsibilities with a professional attitude:

    • Participate fully in entire staff training preceding the conference, all conference activities, and nightly staff meetings.
    • Participate in skits, energizers, and games assigned.
    • Plan with your co-facilitator prior to and every day during this conference.
    • Co-Facilitate a family group. This is a team role. You should be on time to all family group sessions, prepared with necessary materials.
    • Co-facilitate or participate with a youth action group.
    • Be present, on time and positive during all events. 
    • Be in scheduled location to supervise fun events. Adhere to “Lights Out” policies for all minors, including youth staff. No minor and/or youth staff is allowed off-campus, at any time, without permission. 
    • Serve as a positive example for participants during the week.
    • Encourage and exhibit appropriate behavior.
    • Observe appropriate physical and social contact with participants and other staff members with respect to personal boundaries, i.e. hugging, dancing, physical space, isolated interactions and warm fuzzy messages.
    • Clothing should be constructed and worn in such a manner that is not unduly revealing nor should clothing be worn so that undergarments are revealed.
    • Participants either found using or under the influence or in possession of alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, will
      be removed from the program. Smoking cigarettes is not permitted. Participants using prescription drugs for medical purposes MUST notify and store with conference nurse in advance or at registration.
    • Visitors are not permitted for reason of supervision, liability and contract with facility owners.
  • Adult Staff Responsibilities

    As a member of adult staff, you have an important job at the Youth to Youth Conference. Please observe these responsibilities with a professional attitude:

    • Participate fully in entire staff training preceding the conference, all conference activities, and nightly staff meetings.
    • Plan with your co-facilitator prior to and every day during this conference.
      Co-Facilitate a family group. This is a team role. You should be on time to all family group sessions, prepared with necessary materials.
    • Co-facilitate or participate with a youth action group.
    • Conduct a dorm meeting on the first day of conference to inform participants of rules.
    • Be present, on time and positive during all events. 
    • Participate in security assignments including: dorm sweeps during presentations, meals, and activities.
    • Be in scheduled location to supervise fun events. Adhere to “Lights Out” policies for all minors, including youth staff. No minor and/or youth staff is allowed off-campus, at any time, without permission. 
    • Serve as a positive example for participants during the week.
    • Encourage and exhibit appropriate behavior.
    • Observe appropriate physical and social contact with participants and other staff members with respect to personal boundaries, i.e. hugging, dancing, physical space, isolated interactions and warm fuzzy messages.
    • Clothing should be constructed and worn in such a manner that is not unduly revealing nor should clothing be worn so that undergarments are revealed.
    • Remember that even though the adults are ultimately responsible for the program, the youth staff are valuable leaders. In our usual daily roles, adults are authority figures who direct young people. In this situation, adults are asked to facilitate, not dominate. Let the youth staff develop leadership skills by allowing them to facilitate and interact with the young people.
  • A-Team Responsibilities

    As an A-Team member, you may not have much exposure or interaction with conference participants. You will be doing much of the behind-the scenes work. This is a tough position because you will be asked to work long hours. The A-Team is under the supervision of designated Youth to Youth Administrative Staff.

    Please observe these responsibilities with a professional attitude:

    • Serve as a positive example for participants during the week.
    • Encourage and exhibit appropriate behavior.
    • Observe appropriate physical and social contact with participants and other staff members with respect to personal boundaries, i.e. hugging, dancing, physical space, isolated interactions and warm fuzzy messages.
    • Clothing should be constructed and worn in such a manner that is not unduly revealing nor should clothing be worn so that undergarments are revealed.
